Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an optical laminated body which is a polarized plate, a phase difference plate, an elliptically polarized plate, etc., being excellent in durability such as moist heat resistance and heat resistance and is a highly durable and highly optical performance type one.
SOLUTION: A non-crystalline silicon oxide layer is formed on at least one face of an optical film such as a polarized film, a phase difference film and an elliptically polarized film. For forming the non-crystalline silicon oxide layer on the optical film, e.g. after the surface of the optical film is coated with a soln. consisting of a silicon oligomer or the optical film is immersed in this soln., the film is heat-treated. Therefore, an optical laminated body not only with high optical performance but with excellent durability, moist heat resistance and heat resistance can be prepd. and a protective layer such as a cellulose triacetate film is not needed and it can be made thin.
