To provide an optical lens industrially producible by injection molding and having a high refractive index, low Abbe number, low birefringence and high transparency.
The optical lens is formed of a resin composition containing polycarbonate resin (A) containing at least 90 mol% of structural unit derived from 2,2-bis(4-hydroxyphenyl)propane with a refractive index in light d (wavelength 587.6 nm) of resin being 1.582-1.588, the Abbe number of the resin being 30 and 35 and the weight average molecular weight of 15,000-35,000, and styrene resin (B) obtained by copolymerization of styrene and maleic anhydride, containing 3-18 mol% of structural unit derived from maleic anhydride, with a refractive index in light d (wavelength 587.6 nm) of the resin being 1.582-1.588, the Abbe number of the resin being 30 and 35 and the weight average molecular weight of 40,000-400,000, wherein the weight ratio (A/B) of the polycarbonate resin (A) to styrene resin (B) is within a range of 40/60-70/30. The thickness in an optical axis direction per one is 0.01 mm to 30 mm, and the volume is 0.0001 cm3 to 5.0 cm3.
