Abstract:

PURPOSE: To make it possible to remove the effect of a drift of a light source reliably by a method wherein a light beam from a light source is monitored by using a rotary body, the amount of correction of the drift of the light source is calculated on the basis of the result of monitoring and a measured value of a substance to be measured is thereby corrected.
CONSTITUTION: Every time when a rotary body 104 rotating in measurement interrupts an optical path of an optical system 103, the position of a light beam reflected by the rotary body 104 is detected by a detecting means 105 and taken in an arithmetic means 106 in a time-sharing manner. The position of the light beam reflected by a substance 8 to be measured when the rotary body 104 does not interrupt the optical path of the optical system 103 is detected by the detecting means 105 and taken in the arithmetic means 106 in the time-sharing manner. In the arithmetic means 106, the amounts of correction of drifts of light sources 101 and 102 are calculated on the basis of a position signal corresponding to the reflected light beam from the rotary body 104, the position signal corresponding to the reflected light beam from the substance 8 is corrected by these amounts of correction and thereby a drift component is removed. As the result, the effects of mechanical and optical drifts of the light sources and all optical elements can be removed.
