Abstract:
PURPOSE:To facilitate fluorescent light measuring operation by providing a filter for background light to a fluorescent light measuring instrument, and also adding a filter which detects light scattering or a filter which performs nephelometry, etc. CONSTITUTION:The light from the light source 11 on the left side of a fluorescent light measuring instrument 10 is made into a parallel light beam by a reflecting mirror 12 and a condenser lens 13 and the light beam is passed through an excited light interference filter 14 and illuminates a fluorescent sample 16 through a condenser lens 15. Fluorescence is emitted by the fluorescent sample 16, but made into a parallel light beam by a condenser lens 17, passed through an interference filter 18 for detection, and converged by a condenser lens 19, so that the beam is detected by a photomultiplier tube 20. The excited light interference filter 14 and a detection-side interference filter 18 are provided with filter switching mechanisms 21 and 22, and the filter switching machine for them is rotated to select any filter optionally an places it on the optical axis of the condenser lenses 13 and 15 or 17 and 19. Further, a transmitted light detecting element 23 is provided on the opposite side of the light source 11 about the sample.
