To provide an optical member with a pressure-sensitive adhesive readily releasable from a liquid crystal cell, easily releasable especially from even a large-sized liquid crystal cell and hardly causing a residual paste during peeling even when preserved in long-term severe states or preserved under high-temperature conditions and having excellent durability and excellent relaxing properties of stress caused by a dimensional change of a polarizing plate, etc., to provide a method for producing the optical member with the pressure-sensitive adhesive and further to provide an image display device using the optical member with the pressure-sensitive adhesive.
The optical member with the pressure-sensitive adhesive is obtained by laminating a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer onto at least one surface of the optical member. Furthermore, the optical member with the pressure-sensitive adhesive is characterized in that the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer is composed of a first pressure-sensitive adhesive layer in contact with the optical member, an interlayer composed of a polymer film and a second pressure-sensitive adhesive layer.
