Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical microscope having a high level of the detection sensitivity of the phase difference observation method, realizing a three- dimensional feeling of an image in the modulated contrast observation method, regarding the observation of a transparent phase object or the like.
SOLUTION: Regarding a modulated contrast microscope having at least four zones on an optical control member 14, the zones are made of a first photoabsorption zone 14a with a transmission factor Ta, a second photoabsorption zone 14b with a transmission factor Tb, a first transmission zone 14c with a transmission factor Tc and a second transmission zone 14d with a transmission factor Td. At the same time, the relationship of Tb<Ta< Tc, TA<Td, Tc>0.5, and Td>0.5 is satisfied, and at least one zone on the optical control member 14 has a phase change effect. The second transmission zone 14d relative to the second photoabsorption zone 14b in this case is provided, so as to be adjacent thereto at the opposite side of the first photoabsorption zone 14a.
