Abstract:
To provide an optical modification device which improves abrasion resistance or weather resistance on a workpiece surface at low cost with a simple structure.SOLUTION: An optical processing device includes: a treatment chamber for modifying a surface of workpiece; a gas supply port for supplying gas into the treatment chamber; a light source for irradiating the workpiece in the treatment chamber with ultraviolet light having a dominant light-emission wavelength in a wavelength region of 243 nm or less; and irradiation environment changing means for changing irradiation environment of the workpiece by at least one of control of a supply amount of an inert gas supplied from the gas supply port and control of an interval between the light source and the workpiece during irradiation of the workpiece with the ultraviolet light.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
