Abstract:
PURPOSE:To provide an optical modulator module capable of easily adjusting the optical axis of the optical modulator. CONSTITUTION:In an optical modulator module, in which a light beam outputted form a semiconductor laser 36 is modulated with an optical modulator 44 and introduced into an optical fiber 52, the abovementioned semiconductor laser 36, the optical modulator 44, and an optical fiber 52 are mounted on a commonly used substrate 32. Fixing of the optical modulator 44 on the above substrate 32 is carried out by causing a spherical projection 66 formed on the bottom surface of the optical modulator 44 to be seated in a spherical recess 68 formed on the substrate 32 with the same radius as that of the spherical projection 66.
