Abstract:
To provide an optical module capable of adjusting brightness distribution without using a light guide plate.
An optical module 20 includes a reflection sheet 21, a deflection optical sheet 50 arranged at a position facing the reflection sheet, and a light source illuminating a region between the deflection optical sheet and the reflection sheet. The reflection sheet reflects the light in accordance with reflection characteristics having directivity which depends on an incident direction of the light. The deflection optical sheet includes a sheet-like body part 55, and a plurality of unit optical elements 60 which are arranged on the body part and which protrude toward the reflection sheet.
