PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent breaking of an optical element.
SOLUTION: This optical module comprises a platform 10, an optical element 20 which has an optical part 22 and is mounted on the platform 10, an optical fiber 30 which is positioned with respect to the optical part 22 and is attached thereto and a dummy bump 25 which stops the edge of the optical fiber 30 on the position of non-contact with the optical part 22.
