Title:
OPTICAL MODULE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2010210920
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide an optical module which is made into a structure by which an anchor effect is expected, when a receptacle sleeve and an optical element package are fixed to sufficiently secure intensity, and which does not have optical axis deviation and can be fixed at a position with high accuracy.

The optical module is provided with a storage part 11 having a first outside diameter which stores an optical element package, and an alignment sleeve part 12 having a second outside diameter to which an optical fiber is connected. A plurality of projected parts 11a are provided along the circumferential direction on the inner surface of the storage part 11. A plurality of through-holes 13a, which connect to the inner surface of the storage part 11 are provided at positions corresponding to the plurality of projected parts 11a at a level difference part 13 by the first outside diameter and the second outside diameter. Recessed parts (groove parts 21a) are provided so as to face the plurality of projected parts 11a, in storage on the outer surface of the optical element package (outer surface of the cylindrical part 21). The receptacle sleeve and the optical element package are adhered and fixed, by using adhesives, including ultraviolet-curing type adhesives 30, in a state with the projected parts 11a facing the groove parts 21a.
