Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To miniaturize an optical module.SOLUTION: An optical module includes a first optical block 20 mounted on a board 200, a second optical block 40 for holding an optical fiber 400, and a sheet metal member 60, and the second optical block 40 is sandwiched between the first optical block 20 and the sheet metal member 60 and is mounted on the first optical block 20. A pair of spring pieces 61 are formed in the sheet metal member 60, a plate thickness direction of a pair of spring pieces 61 is made parallel with a plate surface of the board 200, a width direction is made vertical to the plate surface and is extended along both the side faces of the first optical block 20, and the second optical block 40 is pressed against the first optical block 20 in a vertical direction to the plate surface by spring force generated by hooking of a locking part (projection 31) in which the pair of spring pieces 61 are formed on both the side faces each.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
