Abstract:

To discriminate contact between a subject and a magnifying observation endoscope in an optical observation probe.

This optical observation probe 30 has an insertion part 31 insertable through an instrument channel 29 of the endoscope 20 for observing the subject A, and a high magnification observation means 33 provided at a distal end 32 of the insertion part 31. The high magnification observation means 33 is provided with a magnifying optical system 36 higher in magnification than an observation optical system 21 provided at the endoscope 20, and a high magnification imaging means 37 for imaging the subject A through the magnifying optical system 36. The optical observation probe 30 is further provided with a contact detecting means 34 for detecting contact between the distal end 32 of the insertion part 31 and the subject A.
