Abstract:
To prevent the increase in an insertion loss due to the angular deviation of a rectangular prism in a conventional optical path changeover switch in which a rectangular prism is used as an optical path changeover element which is inserted and removed in the optical path.
An optical path changeover switch which has no increase in the insertion loss due to the angular deviation of the optical path changeover element is provided by using a corner cube prism or a deformed corner cube prism which have three orthogonal reflection faces as an optical path changeover element which is inserted and removed in the optical path.
