Abstract:
To securely monitor an optical path switching operation for signal light without exerting any influence on the signal light.
An optical switch 101 is provided so as to perform the optical path switchings of signal light and of monitoring light at the same time, and a monitoring optical receiver 104 detects whether or not the monitoring light is outputted. A switch control and monitoring part 106 monitors a monitor light detection signal to monitor an optical path switching operation for the signal light by the optical switch 101.
