Abstract:
To enable optical patterning of a thin film, having affinity for a biomaterial under mild reaction conditions.
By forming at least bilirubin or a bilirubin derivative into a photosensitive thin film, the solubility of the exposed portion of the thin film in water or an alkali solution is increased, without particularly requiring a conventional photoinitiator for generating a high-reactivity radical, acid or base in the thin film, whereby pattern formation is allowed.
