PURPOSE: To realize an effective cleaning by blowing gas to blow off dust adhering to an objective lens in a cartridge type optical pickup cleaning device.

CONSTITUTION: A case 7 having nearly the same shape as an ordinary cartridge case is provided with a gas blowing port 8, and a gas feeding means 9 is coupled with the blowing port 8, thereby constituting this optical pickup cleaning device 10. The blowing port 8 is formed at a position opposed to the objective lens 4 of an optical pickup 3 in the case of loading the case 7 in a disk player device. Then, the device 10 is provided with a ventilation path 13 surrounding the blowing port 8 and communicating with a connection port 12 formed on one side surface 11 of the case 7, and the gas feeding means 9 is coupled with the connection port 12.
