To provide an optical pickup device in which read and write performance of a recording plane of an optical disk can be kept satisfactory for a long period by almost uniformalizing friction resistance applied to all bearing parts during sliding of a main body part and by suppressing change caused by long period used of parallel degree of the recording plane and the main body part.
The optical pickup device has two shafts 8, 8 arranged in parallel each other, and a main body part 1 attached to the two shafts 8, 8 so as to be able to slide and reciprocating on one flat plane. This main body part 1 has two main bearing parts 15, 15 connected to one side of the shafts, and one sub-bearing part 16 connected to the other side of the shafts. Centroid G1 of the main body part 1 is positioned at the inside of a bearing part region Z1 formed by connecting centers of all bearing parts 15, 16 so as to form an external form.
