The optical pickup device is provided with the package light source unit where a plurality of light-emitting points emitting light of different wavelengths are housed in one casing, a divergence angle changing element for changing the divergence angles of respective luminous fluxes from the package light source unit, an objective optical element, a light-receiving element, etc. Then, the package light source unit configures the optical paths of the respective luminous fluxes emitted from the respective light-emitting points in the casing to emit the respective luminous flux with their light paths matched with an optical axis, and moves the divergence angle changing element in the direction of the optical axis to compensate the optical path difference between respective luminous fluxes occurring within the casing.
