Title:
OPTICAL PRESSURE SENSOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3489496
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical pressure sensor capable of remote measurement and free from malfunction due to electromagnetic induction, and does not need a power source in a sensor part.
SOLUTION: In this optical pressure sensor, when a pressure to be measured in a Bourdon-tube 8 changes, an interval between the free end 81 side and the fixed end 82 side of the tube 8 changes. As a result, an optical fiber strain sensor 71 fixed between the free end side and the fixed end side of the tube is elastic. Displacement of the optical fiber strain sensor 71 is in proportion to a pressure to be measured, and not affected by electromagnetic induction, so that mulfunction does not occur. Since a power source is unnecessary, a strain signal of the sensor can be transmitted to a remote place through optical fibers 1a, 1c, and remote operation is enabled.
