To provide an optical printer head wherein a predetermined picture corresponding to image data is acquired, further, the light emitting element array chips can be easily positioned with sufficient precision, productivity is superior and high precision is realized.
In the optical printer head, the light emitting element array chips 5 which have light emitting elements 7 and connection pads 6 on the upper surfaces are mounted on a circuit board wherein a first circuit conductor 2 and an insulator 3 are formed on a substrate 1, and the first circuit conductor 2 is electrically connected to the connection pads. In the printer head, recesses 1a in which the light emitting element array chips 5 are buried are formed on the upper surface of the substrate 1, the gaps between inner surfaces of the recesses 1a and side surfaces of the light emitting element array chips 5 are filled with adhesive 8, and a second circuit conductor 9 wherein one end of the first circuit conductor 2 is stretched as far as the connection pads 6 through upper parts of the insulator 3 and the adhesive 8 is connected to the connection pads 6. The recess 1a is constituted by installing a flat bottom surface and an inclined surface which is continuously formed toward the upper surface of the substrate 1 from the bottom surface.
