Title:
OPTICAL RECEIVER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3175798
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To attain the reception of even an optical signal modulated at a high speed by using a local oscillation light synchronously with a signal light, generating plural local oscillating lights separated spacially in a different frequency, making it incident a light receiving means simultaneously with the signal light to obtain an interference pattern thereby informing a waveform of the signal light trough prescribed analysis processing.
CONSTITUTION: A received signal light is made incident on a half mirror 11, in which the light is divided into two directions, the one is made incident on a light receiving element array 12 and the other is made incident on a local oscillation light generator 13 respectively. The local oscillating light emitted from the generator 13 is reflected by a mirror 14 and made incident on a phase modulator 15 and it is subject to phase modulation by a reference frequency signal from a reference frequency signal generator 16. The local oscillation light subject to modulation is separated spacially for each frequency component by using an optical frequency filter 17 and the separated components are collected by using a lens 18 and made incident on the light receiving element array 12 at different angles. Thus, the reception is attained even at a low speed electric circuit.
