Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical receptacle capable of reducing a connection loss and reflection at the time of being connected with an optical connector in the optical receptacle having an inclined spherical surface for the purpose of preventing reflection at an optical contact point.SOLUTION: An optical receptacle 1 includes: a fiber stub 4; a sleeve 5 for holding a part of the fiber stub; a holding jig 6 for holding a part of an opposite side to a side held by the sleeve of the fiber stub; and a storage part 7 provided at a position including at least a part of the fiber stub and sleeve. An end surface 4a optically connected to a plug ferrule inserted to the sleeve out of end surfaces of the fiber stub is formed so as to become a spherical surface inclined having a prescribed inclination to the surface orthogonal to a central axis of the fiber stub, and includes a positioning part 8 for causing the holding jig to control the inclination direction of the end surface of the fiber stub.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
