A mirror array 5 is arranged on the optical path extending from a display element 3 to a write surface 9' of a spatial optical modulating element and has reflecting surfaces 51, 52..., reflecting the projection light from the display element 3 at the same specific angle to the optical axis X, formed in steps, i.e., in different planes separately from pixels of the display element along the optical axis of the projection light. An actuator 7 is arranged on the surface of the mirror array 5 on the opposite side from the display element 3 in contact when the mirror array 5, which can be moved or vibrated along the optical axis X of the projection light from the display element 3 in synchronism with a field signal supplied to the display element 3.
