To provide an optical recording device capable of recording a hologram with a high SNR by flattening the intensity distribution of light irradiated to every pixel of a spatial light modulator, uniformly irradiating patterns displayed on the spatial light modulator to improve the SNR of a generated signal light when the hologram is recorded by a colinear system, and to provide an optical recording and reproducing device.
As for a circular parallel light with a diameter D entered into an axicon optical system 20 during recording, a light intensity component passing through the vertex of an axicon lens to advance straight is removed by a mask 50 with a shielding part 50A. The parallel light passing through the mask 50 passes through the aperture 56A of a stop mechanism 56, and a light intensity distribution is flattened by the axicon lens 58, thereby forming the circular parallel light 100 with the diameter D. The parallel light 100 flattened in the light intensity distribution is light-guided and irradiated to the spatial light modulator 26 in which a recording pattern is displayed.
