The optical recording medium 10 has a first substrate 16, a digital information recording layer 18 which is formed on the first substrate 16 and in which digital information is recorded by light radiated from an end surface of the first substrate 16 and a visible information recording layer 24 in which visible information is recorded by light radiated from a label surface side of a second substrate 22 disposed on the side opposite to the first substrate. When the visible information recording layer 24 has 8% reflectance in the wavelength of laser light and chromatic coordinates of the visible information recording layer 24 with no visible information recorded thereon are defined as L*, a* and b*, 30L*70 is satisfied.
