To provide a norbornene polymer composition which has a low refractive index and excellent transparency, and is suitably used for forming an optical component.
A resin composition includes: 100 pts.wt. of a norbornene polymer (A); and 0.01-0.5 pts.wt. of a styrene-conjugate diene block copolymer hydride (B). (1) The styrene-conjugate diene block copolymer is composed of at least two styrene-conjugate diene block copolymer hydrides having a difference in styrene content of 10 wt.% or more; and (2) the weight average molecular weight (Mwb1) of the styrene-conjugate diene block copolymer hydroxide (b1) with high styrene content and the weight average molecular weight (Mwb2) of the styrene-conjugate diene block copolymer hydroxide (b2) with low styrene content satisfy a relation of (0.9×Mwb1)≤Mwb2≤(2.5×Mwb1).
