Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently resolve 4-[(4-halogenophenyl)(2-piperidyl) methoxy]piperidine by using a specific reagent for optical resolution.
SOLUTION: A racemic type 4-[(4-halogenophenyl)(2-piperidyl)methoxy]- pyridine is reacted with an N-acyl-optically active amino acid to afford two kinds of diastereomer salts and either one of diastereomer salts is separated and collected by utilizing the difference of the resultant diastereomer salts to optically resolve the racemic type 4-[(4-halogenophenyl)(2-pyridyl)methoxy]- piperidine.
