Abstract:
To provide an optical scanner that can reduce the attachment error of optical members, can thereby prevent a variation in attachment of the optical members, and can achieve a reduction in thickness of a configuration for attaching the optical members to a housing, and an image forming apparatus including the optical scanner.SOLUTION: An optical scanner 100 comprises: optical members (110); a housing 120; and holding members 130 that hold the optical members (110) in the housing 120. The holding member 130 is provided with an opening 131 larger than a light transmission area α of the optical member (110). The optical member (110) is mounted on the housing 120. The holding member 130 is attached to the housing 120 while holding a surface (111) of the optical member (110) on the opposite side of the housing 120 so that light (L) from the light transmission area α of the optical member (110) passes through the opening 131.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5B
