The face S2 for satisfying the characteristics in the vertical scanning direction (for example, the scanning line curvature correction and the image face curvature correction in the vertical scanning direction at a sagittal offset) has a face shape which does not have the characteristics affecting performance in a main scanning direction, and the face for satisfying the characteristics in the main scanning direction (a linearity correction and the image face curvature correction in the main scanning direction) has a face shape which does not have the characteristic affecting performance in the vertical scanning direction, thus the performance of a lens is improved independently both in the main scanning direction and in the vertical scanning direction.
