Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing an optical scanner in which, without the use of a reflecting mirror having a large surface area, the light-receiving surface area for reflected light from an object is not made smaller as a result of the rotational angle, such that it is possible not to reduce the measurement precision. As a solution, this optical scanner is provided with: an electric motor (32); a reflecting mirror (34) that is rotatable around a vertical rotation axis (Z) having the vertical direction as the axis and is rotatable around a horizontal rotation axis (Y) having the horizontal direction as the axis, said reflecting mirror (34) being disposed at a position at which the scanning light is incident on the reflecting plane along a direction parallel to the horizontal rotation axis (Y); and a drive transmission unit (52) that transmits the rotational drive of the electric motor (32) to the vertical rotation axis (Z) and the horizontal rotation axis (Y). The horizontal rotation axis (Y) has a predetermined angle other than an angle that is perpendicular or parallel relative to the reflecting plane of the reflecting mirror (34).
