Title:
OPTICAL SEMICONDUCTOR DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3766628
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical semiconductor device in which the adhesive strength of a light translucent cover having an optical filter function to a base is improved, and which has the cover inexpensively manufactured, a small size and a high reliability.
SOLUTION: The optical semiconductor device comprises the base 4 having a recess 4a formed on the upper surface, an optical semiconductor element 2 mounted on the bottom of the recess 4a, and the plate-like light translucent cover 3 attached to the periphery of the recess 4a of the upper surface of the base 4 via an ultraviolet-setting resin. In this device, an optical thin film 3a for shutting off a light having a predetermined wavelength range is covered on the main surface of the recess 4a side of the cover 3, and the region attached to the periphery of the recess 4a of the upper surface of the base 4 of the film 3a is removed by mechanical working.
