Title:
OPTICAL SENSOR SENSITIVITY ADJUSTING SYSTEM
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH01122262
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To exactly decide a medium in collating with a constant deciding reference by adjusting emitting quantity from an emitting part and causing the quantity to be light quantity suitable for the condition of a medium. CONSTITUTION:The current of a pulse shape is flown to an emitting part 102 of an optical sensor. At such a time, the duty of a pulse is changed and the emitting quantity is changed. A deciding part 200 decides reflected light, which is received by a photo-detecting part 104, and outputs the presence and absence of the medium. An outputted signal is supplied to a control part 300 and by which pulse width the decision of the presence and absence is changed is detected. Then, the pulse width at that time is stored in a storing part 500. Further, the reference medium is replaced and the above-mentioned operation is repeated. Then, the pulse width in each reference medium is stored in the storing part 500. When the set of sensitivity is finished, a reading mode is inputted from an input part 400. After that, when a reading medium 700 is set to the reading position of an optical sensor 100, the pulse width, which is suitable for a medium reading, is read from the storing part 500, and the presence and absence of the medium is decided.
