To ensure sufficient visibility of a pilot lamp in an optical sensor having a metal housing in which high degree of waterproofness and protection against dust can be combined.
A clearance C is provided between an LED 120a which is the light source of a stability display lamp 120 and a light guide component 142, and a hot melt HM is located in the clearance C. The clearance C is about 1-2 mm. Light emitted from the LED 120a for display is diffused by the hot melt HM located in the clearance C and enters the light guide component 142, which illuminates a display lamp cover 144. A polyamide-based hot melt of amber or a polyester-based hot melt of opal is preferable as the hot melt HM. When setting the thickness of the hot melt HM appropriately, as described above, optical transparency and light diffusivity are combined, in addition to hot melt resin filling.
