Title:
OPTICAL SOUND TRACK REPRODUCING APPARATUS FOR MOVIE FILM
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS59177533
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
Apparatus for reproducing motion picture photographic (optical) sound-tracks is disclosed in which significant information regarding track placement, slit illumination, azimuth and impulse noise is derived by dynamically processing and comparing the signals obtained by reading each half of a bilateral sound-track. In the illustrated embodiment a pair of detector elements (B and C) minotors the septum between two tracks in order to detect lateral film misalignment. The signals from these elements are amplified (24, 26), integrated (28, 30) and applied to LEDs (32, 34) which remain extinguished when there is correct alignment. When there is misalignment, one or the other LED lights up. The left and right channel signals are derived by adding the signals from the elements (B and C) adjacent the septum to signals from respective larger, flanking detector elements (A & D).
