Abstract:
PURPOSE:To provide the optical spatial transmission device which can be shortened in overall length and therefore small in size and light weight by sending a transmission light beam to an object of transmission through a concave and a convex lens. CONSTITUTION:This transmission device is equipped with the concave lens 48 which converts a reception light beam LA2 of converged incident light into a parallel light beam and guides it to a polarization beam splitting means 6, the convex lens 24 which converts transmission light beam LA1 converted by the concave lens 38 into diverged light and sends it to a transmission and reception device, and also converts a reception light beam LA2 of a nearly parallel light beam arriving from the transmission and reception device into converged light and projects it on the concave lens 48, and a photodetecting means 30 which photodetects the reception light beam LA2 obtained through the polarization beam splitting means 5. Then the transmission light beam LA1 is sent out to the transmission object through the concave lens 48 and convex lens 24 and then the whole shape is made small in size as compared with the combination of convex lenses to reduce the weight as a result.
