Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide the compact optical switch device capable of executing plural kinds of measurement in parallel by using plural master connectors and using for an in-use optical line as an optical switch device of an integrated optical communication system.
CONSTITUTION: The optical switch device is equipped with 1st and 2nd optical connectors 10 and 20 which are provided atop of optical fibers constituting the optical lines and made to butt to each other by fitting pins into pin holes to make an optical connection between the optical fibers, a connector holder 3 where plural 1st optical connectors are arrayed, plural moving and inserting/ extracting mechanisms 40 and 50 which hold 2nd optical connectors and switch the optical lines by movement to the necessary optical connector position on the connector holder, and a controller 60 which controls the operation of the moving and inserting/extracting mechanisms without making the 2nd held optical connectors interfere with each other. The optical switch device 1 freely switches connections at random while moving the 2nd optical connectors 20 held by the moving and inserting/extracting mechanisms 40 and 50 to the 1st different optical connectors 10 in the 1st optical connector group on the connector holder 30.
