The optical system 14 generates composite light beams along an optical axis X from a light source 12. The composite light beams include at least one center light beam and at least one peripheral light beam surrounding the center light beam, and are directed toward a light diffuser for re-distributing the composite light beams by a prescribed method on a plane orthogonal to the optical axis X. The optical system generates the center light beams and/or the peripheral light beams on a second plane including the optical axis X, and beams 16.1, 16.2, 17.1, 17.2 of the center light beams and/or the peripheral light beams are constructed so as to be inclined to the optical axis X on the both sides of the optical axis X to form the center light beams and/or the peripheral light beams.
