Abstract:
PURPOSE:To improve the transmission efficiency by optically sufficiently flatening the light beam whose image is formed on a face to be scanned. CONSTITUTION:Beam compressing means 15 and 16 are provided in the optical path of a first image forming optical system 6 in a light beam scanning optical system provided with a deflecting means 2 which reflects, deflects, and scans a light beam 5 from a light source 11 and first and second image forming optical systems 6 and 33 which are arranged before and after the deflecting means 2 and form the image of the light beam, which is converged before the deflecting means, on a face 41 to be scanned through the deflecting means 2.
