To provide an optical transmission reception module in which the reception sensitivity can be increased by suppressing fluctuation in the intensity of received light.
The optical transmission reception module 1 comprises a transmitting part 2, a receiving part 3, a filter 4 and an optical fiber 7. The receiving part 3 is laid on the optical axis of the optical fiber 7, while the filter 4 is laid on the optical axis between the optical fiber 7 and the receiving part 3. The reception light L2 from the optical fiber 7 is transmitted through the filter 4 and received by the receiving part 3. The transmission light L1 transmitted from the transmitting part 2 is reflected on the surface of the filter 4 and enters the optical fiber 7. Since the transmission characteristics of the filter 4 do not depend on the polarization direction, fluctuation in the intensity of the reception light can be suppressed by the optical transmission reception module 1 even when the reception light L2 is irregularly polarized.
