To provide an optical unit with which it is possible to downsize an interference type optical magnetic field sensor device.SOLUTION: An optical unit 1 comprises: a first polarization element that emits first and second linearly polarized light and to which third and fourth linearly polarized light enter; and an optical path part having a first optical path for propagating the first and the fourth linearly polarized light and a second path for propagating the second and the third linearly polarized light. The optical path part includes a first birefringent element for branching the first and the second linearly polarized light entered from the first polarization element to the first and the second optical path, respectively, multiplexing the third linearly polarized light having propagated through the second optical path and the fourth linearly polarized light having propagated through the first optical path, and emitting it to the first polarization element; and a second birefringent element for multiplexing the first linearly polarized light having propagated through the first optical path and the second linearly polarized light having propagated through the second optical path to emit it to a second port, and branching the third and the fourth linearly polarized light entered from the second port into the first and the second optical paths, respectively.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
