Abstract:

To provide an optical waveguide element having a structure with a large manufacturing tolerance.

An optical waveguide element comprises: a first optical coupler; a second optical coupler; and a first and second optical waveguides each connecting an output side of the first optical coupler to an input side of the second optical coupler. Each of the first and second optical waveguides has an arcuately bent optical waveguide. The optical path lengths of the first and second optical wave guides are different from each other. The above problem is solved by the optical waveguide element.
