Abstract:

PURPOSE: To make the manufacturing process of an optical device substantially simpler and to provide a new type improved optical waveguide which makes an assembling process simpler.

CONSTITUTION: A molded optical guide 20 which has a molded conductor 30 comes into contact with an optical device 50 which is arranged at one end part 35 of a waveguide and provides external electric access 38 to the optical device at an exposed part of the waveguide. The waveguide and assembled optical device are mounted on a wiring circuit board, etc., and connected by lead wires.
