Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase a light-emission duty by suppressing fluctuations in the light emission amount of each light-emitting element due to the electric potential deterioration of a power line.SOLUTION: An optical writing device includes: a plurality of light-emitting elements 101 arranged in a line; a first power line which supplies first reference voltage; a second power line which supplies a driving current to each light-emitting element and second reference voltage; a DAC 74 which outputs first voltage instructing light emission amount of each light-emitting element; a first voltage holding element 106 which holds first voltage difference between the first reference voltage and the first voltage; and a second voltage holding element 104 which can be electrically connected with the first voltage holding element 106, and holds second voltage difference between the second reference voltage and second voltage corresponding to the first voltage. During the supply of the driving current, while both holding elements are electrically disconnected, the first voltage difference is held by the first voltage holding element 106, and then the supply of the driving current is temporarily stopped, and both holding elements are electrically connected to make the second holding element 104 hold the second voltage difference, thereby supplying the driving current according to the voltage difference between the second reference voltage and the second voltage.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
