Abstract:

To provide a triazole compound exhibiting remarkably excellent noxious organism-controlling activity and to provide (+)-1-[2,4-dimethyl-5-(2,2,2-trifluoroethylsulfinyl)phenyl]-3-(trifluoromethyl)-1H-1,2,4-triazole.

The optically active (+)-1-[2,4-dimethyl-5-(2,2,2-trifluoroethylsulfinyl)phenyl]-3-(trifluoromethyl)-1H-1,2,4-triazole is represented by formula (I). The compound is obtained by optical resolution of a racemic mixture of 1-[2,4-dimethyl-5-(2,2,2- trifluoroethylsulfinyl)phenyl]-3-(trifluoromethyl)-1H-1,2,4-triazole.
