Abstract:

To provide a method for producing a new diastereomer salt containing optically active 1-amino-2-propanol, and a method for efficiently isolating the optically active 1-amino-2-propanol from the synthesized new diastereomer salt, and also capable of easily recovering an optical resolving agent.

The method for producing the diastereomer salt expressed by formula (3) [wherein, X is a halogen atom; and * is an asymmetric carbon atom] is characterized by including a process of reacting the 1-amino-2-propanol with a tartaric acid monoamide derivative which is the optical resolving agent to form the diastereomer salt expressed by formula (3) and a process of precipitating the purified diastereomer salt by precipitating at least a part of the obtained diastereomer salt.
