Abstract:
To provide an optically active 2-alkyl-D-cysteineamide or its salt useful as a raw material for producing various industrial chemicals, agricultural chemicals, and drugs, and a method for producing these compounds.
This method comprises allowing the microbody of an microorganism or a treated product of the fungus bodies which have activity of stereoselectively hydrolyzing a 2-alkyl-L-cysteinamide or its salt to act on 2-alkylcysteineamides or their salts to convert them into the 2-alkyl-L-cysteineamide or its salt, and then separating unreacted optically active 2-alkyl-D-cysteineamide from the reaction solution.
