Abstract:

To obtain the subject novel compound, useful as a monomer constituting a structural unit of high-molecular-weight asymmetric catalyst, which can be easily separated from the reaction products and reused, and exhibits notable effects in catalytic activity and asymmetric yield.

This compound is shown by formula I [R1 is H, a 1-6C alkyl or (substituted) 7-10C aralkyl; R2 is H, a 1-6C alkyl or shown by the formula RaRbRcSi (Ra, Rb and Rc are each a 1-6C alkyl, phenyl or the like); R3 and R4 are each H, cyano, a halogen, 1-6C alkyl or the like; X is carbonyl or sulfonyl; Ar is a (substituted) divalent aromatic group; and (s) is 0 or 1], e.g. 2-(t-butyldimethylsilyloxymethyl)-4-(4-vinyltosyl)piperazine. It can be obtained by reacting a sulfonyl halide shown by formula III (hal is a halogen) with an optically active piperazine derivative shown by formula IV, wherein the compound shown by formula III is obtained by reacting a halogenation agent with a compound shown by formula II [M is H, or an alkali or an alkaline-earth metal].
