Title:
OPTICALLY ANISOTROPIC COMPOUND AND RESIN COMPOSITION COMPRISING THE SAME
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2014159399
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optically anisotropic compound which has high optical anisotropy, can effectively control optical characteristics of a polymer resin with only a small amount thereof, has excellent solubility in a solvent and excellent compatibility with the polymer resin, and causes no problem such as precipitation.SOLUTION: A silicon-containing compound expressed by the formula below is provided. A resin composition is provided, comprising the above compound and a polymer resin, and an optical member comprising the resin composition is also provided. The silicon-containing compound has excellent compatibility with the polymer resin and has optical anisotropy with refractive index anisotropy of 0.2 or more. By producing the optical member by using the polymer resin composition containing the above silicon-containing compound, intended optical characteristics can be obtained with a small amount of the composition without inducing phase separation. In the formula, ring A, B, C, D represent a cycloalkane ring or an aryl or heteroaryl comprising nitrogen or carbon; and at least one of Y, G, G, E and a substituent of A is a Si-containing substituent.
