Abstract:
To provide an industrially advantageous method for optical resolution of α-isopropyl-α-fluorophenylacetic acid.
This method for optical resolution of α-isopropyl-p- fluorophenylacetic acid comprises reacting α-isopropyl-p-fluorophenylacetic acid with optically active α-phenyl-β-paratolylethylamine in a hydrophobic organic solvent in the presence of water to form the diastereomer salt of one optically active α-isopropyl-p-fluorophenylacetic acid and optically active α- phenyl-β-paratolylethylamine and crystallizing.
